MODELLING CHRIST,
TRANSFORMING LIVES

Our God given role is to build global leaders. This requires converting everyday people with regular challenges into leaders who save the world by leading others to Christ.

The Truth about Giving To God 1

Who is Robbing God?

Mal 3:10 has become a constant feature in Church services. People using just one verse of scripture to intimidate church attenders who don’t understand God’s word because they have not read it.

Here is what Mal 3:10 says…

Bring all the tithes into the storehouse,
That there may be food in My house,
And try Me now in this,”
Says the Lord of hosts,
“If I will not open for you the windows of heaven
And pour out for you such blessing
That there will not be room enough to receive it.

Who is meant to bring the tithe into the storehouse?
Who is meant to ensure there is food in God’s house?

The Pastor preaches vehemently that the people should not rob God, my simple question is, can the people rob God? Can a new testament believer rob God? Could even the everyday Israelites rob God?

Let’s see what the bible process for the tithe is?

Numbers 18:26

26 “Speak thus to the Levites, and say to them: ‘When you take from the children of Israel the tithes which I have given you from them as your inheritance, then you shall offer up a heave offering of it to the Lord, a tenth of the tithe.

Nehemiah 10:38

38 And the priest, the descendant of Aaron, shall be with the Levites when the Levites receive tithes; and the Levites shall bring up a tenth of the tithes to the house of our God, to the rooms of the storehouse.

God was not talking to the tithe payers, he was talking to the tithe collectors. The tithe payers couldn’t bring it into the storehouse or into God’s house. Only the Priests could. The entire verse used to terrorise the congregation was specifically spoken to those operating like Levites.

The Next time a Pastor tells you not to rob God, tell him it was Him that God was talking to! Tell pastor not to rob God! Whoever your pastor is, God’s word is superior to your pastor. Take God’s word to those who need it.

Also, it is irresponsible to pay me through my staff and not ask if I got it! If you don’t have a relationship with God, why are you sending him money?

Selah!

For those who would rather defend their Pastors than God’s word, Oya, let’s debate  . For those who are puzzled and want to ask questions, let’s discuss, and for those who simply read, shake their head and wakapass, God is watching you in 3D, and may be doing something similar to what you just did.
