Something is happening. The biggest awakening ever to hit the earth is looming. Jesus is coming soon, and though the trumpet is already sounding, few can hear it. The day of the Lord is a day of mixed signals, while every inhabitant of the earth will be deceived (Luke 21:35), those who are heaven’s citizens, whose eyes are set on heavenly things, will hear the loud shout. Before the glorious day of the Lord comes, there will first be a falling away – many will be deceived (Revelation 13:8,11-14). While the day of the Lord catches the world unawares, it catches the true church prepared without spot or wrinkle.
Many will be given over to delusions. The Bible records that because the people did not love the truth, God will cause them to be greatly deceived and they will believe lies. (2 Thessalonians 2:10,11). This is going on in earth already, as worship centers are packed with people who don’t know the truth, talk-less of loving the truth. Christ is the truth, and if He is not abundantly clearly seen to you, you will believe a lie. Check yourself, let he that thinks he stands, take heed lest he falls.
How come people do not love the truth? What chokes the love of the truth from people? 1 John 2:15 gives us clear insights, the love of the world’s ways – methods and strategies, and the love of the world’s goods – success, prosperity, and career, chokes the love of the Father. Those highly motivated need meeting messages are actually unplugging you from heaven’s grid. Be warned.
Those who will not be deceived are falling in love with Jesus afresh and seeing Him coming alive in scriptures. It’s this passionate love and loyalty for Christ that insulates us from grand scale delusions and deception. Those who are seeking for signs and looking for their needs to be met will be curried away in camps and conventions where the fire burning on the altar is not of the Lord. It’s the truth that sets free, and holding fast to the truth is what makes us disciples (John 8:31-32).
Please note, those who are deceived don’t know it. May God fill you with a love for Christ that insures you against what the town is overtaken with.
