MODELLING CHRIST,
TRANSFORMING LIVES

Our God given role is to build global leaders. This requires converting everyday people with regular challenges into leaders who save the world by leading others to Christ.

You are Smart, But…

The average individual is said to make about 350 decisions daily. There are so many things to decide. The barrage of thoughts keep coming, and we need to quickly decide. Some decisions are so pivotal, they determine the next series of decisions that will happen after you make them. Research also shows that the human brain is lazy. Once a thought pattern or sequence is formed, the brain doesn’t question that process again. It’s why we find it easy to continue doing what we have always been doing. It’s the force behind the formation of habits, the energy that creates unconscious competence. There are short range decisions, like what do I wear today? What should I eat this morning? Should I take the left route or the right route? There are also long range decisions, like who should I partner with? Who do I marry? What career should I pursue? Where should I pour my energies this year? These decisions, sometimes made without much thought determine where we end up in life! Now, I know you are smart! You’ve got to be smart to have read this far. How confident do you think you can be about those decisions? Think about your short term decisions, and project from them. How often has your decision to turn right instead of left, delayed you further? How has your decision of what to eat, affected your mood in a day? How has your decision to speak in anger affected somebody’s mood or day? If our short term decisions don’t always turn out well, what guarantee do we have for our life decisions? There is a way that was discovered about 3,000 yrs. ago for making decisions that is still the best today! The human brain is intelligent, but not that intelligent. Here is how to do it! Trust God from the bottom of your heart; don’t try to figure out everything on your own. Listen for God’s voice in everything you do, everywhere you go; he’s the one who will keep you on track. Don’t assume that you know it all. Run to God! Run from evil! Your body will glow with health, your very bones will vibrate with life! – Proverbs 3:4-5 (MSG) It seems like too much dependence? Trust me, this is dependence that you need. It’s interdependence – Man working with God the way He intended it to be from day one. Does this excuse your brain? No, it trains your brain! This is higher intelligence. Once this is consistent, we get into the flow of trusting God, of hearing His voice. This is the secret of a glowing body, a healthy life and vibrant bones. The greatest enemy to our highest intelligence is assumption of knowledge. What we don’t know that we don’t know that we don’t know, makes us foolish! Today, ensure you schedule at least 4 stops to ask for direction. The relationship between you and God will never be solid if you don’t start trying to reach Him. He already reached out to you, the telecoms line investment that connects man to God cost God badly. Why not start using it more often today! Selah!
